Product Description
- Administration: Duloxetine is taken orally in delayed-release capsules that should be swallowed whole; they should not be crushed, chewed, or opened (except for Drizalma Sprinkle® capsules, which can be sprinkled on applesauce).
- Onset of Action: It may take 2 to 4 weeks to feel the full benefit for mood disorders, while pain relief may start sooner, sometimes within a couple of weeks.
- Potential Side Effects: Common side effects often include nausea, dry mouth, drowsiness, fatigue, constipation, and increased sweating. Most side effects are mild to moderate and may decrease over time.
- Major depressive disorder (MDD)
- Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
- Pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes)
